Throwback Thursday – Speedy
Meet Speedy, the star of this week’s throwback Thursday.
20-month-old, German Short-haired Pointer, Speedy has been with mum Zoe since birth, as she bred him. We caught up with Zoe to find out more about Speedy and this fabulous breed.

‘I’ve been breeding for just over 15 years now.’
What is the best thing about German Short-haired Pointers?
‘They are loving, funny and quirky.’
What is the worst thing about the breed?
‘Their sense of spatial awareness is none existent.’
What’s the best thing about being a breeder?
‘It’s so rewarding. I also love meeting new people that love the breed too.’
What is the worst thing about being a breeder?
‘Losing a puppy is the worst thing for a breeder to go through. It’s just heart breaking.’
How many litters do you tend to have per year?
‘Usually just the two litters.’
Why did you name him Speedy?
‘He’s called Speedy because I have never seen a puppy be born so quick and find the milky bar hence ‘Speedy’’.’
How does Speedy make you smile?
‘There is never a dull moment with him. He is so loving and an absolute dream to live with. He does have a funny habit of bouncing about like ‘Tigger’ from ‘Winnie The Pooh’.
