UK Toy Dog Qualifiers
We now have the first of our 14 qualifiers for the Buddies Yearling Stakes Final.
Both dog and Bitch class qualifiers were held at the UK Toy Dog Society championship show at Stafford county showground on Saturday 31st March.
Both classes had a fantastic turn out with judging from Norma Inglis.
The first to qualify was Richard Forsythe, with his 15-month-old English Toy Terrier ‘Witchstone Tommy Hawk at Richpin’, who is also known as Spike.
‘Spike has 1 CC and 2 RCC in the U.K. We have also competed in Belgium on 3 occasions. Spike had 3 BOB and achieved a group 3 out of 30 dogs as we compete against the terriers FCI.’
‘His best friend at home is my next-door neighbours miniature poodle who I will hopefully be campaigning this year and with the pack he enjoys playing with the husky and the Weimaraner.’, Says Richard.
Spike and Richard will be joined at the grand final by bitch class winner Anita Lunam, and 20-month-old Pug ‘Rhodenash Kotten Khiara Avec Anzhela’, who’s pet name is Lexi.
‘She is ‘Multum in Parvo’ a lot in a little she has the darkest of pigment and the plushest of coat. She is a show off in the ring much to my delight and has been described as having the XFactor.
At home she loves to be fussed over by the other dogs she encourages them to groom and fuss her, she is a very happy, confident bitch and she is my ideal type and I can’t believe how lucky I am to be owned by her.’, Says Anita.
Lexi’s brother is the Crufts 2018 BOB winner CH Rhodenash Kotten Klyde JW he is Top Pug 2017 as well. She is from the Top Brood Bitch 2017 in Pugs CH Rhodenash Kotten Kandy.
The next qualifiers will be held at the National Terrier Championship Show on Saturday 7th April at Staffordshire County Showground.
