Throwback Thursday – Barney

Meet Barney! The star of this week’s throwback Thursday.

Barney’s mum Lorraine works in our accounts department and has been part of the Buddies Pet Insurance team since 2015.

Bichon Frise Barney turns 4 this June and has been a member of the family since she was just 11 weeks old.

‘He was left at our local kennels after his original owners gave him up.  As it was the weekend and he was so young the kennel manager decided to take him home with her for the weekend. The kennel manager asked her friend if she would keep him for a couple of nights as her own dog had just had a major operation.’

‘My daughter just happened to be having a sleepover that weekend at the same house and fell in love with the little fluffy white bundle! She kept sending me photos of him and eventually convinced us to give him a home.’, explains Lorraine.

Barney is always eager to please and every morning will bring mum Lorraine a toy. If Lorraine has been out for the day, Barney will make sure he has something in his mouth to give to mum.

Barney loves his food and has supersonic hearing where food wrappers are concerned. He is also fully aware that the buddies staff keep treats in their draws and will run to your desk if he hears the draw opening. He will give you a look of disappointment if you simply pull a notepad from your draw.

Next week’s throwback Thursday will be Office Dog Lenny!
