One of our youngest office dogs, Mac, went on his very first adventure with mum Gemma and dad Colin last weekend.
The family of three (soon to be four when baby Ford arrives), spent the weekend in Great Yarmouth and Caister-on-Sea.
We caught up with Gemma to find out what Mac got up to, and if he was a fan of the beach.
‘I was a little unsure how Mac would be in the car, as it’s a 2.5-hour journey, however he sat on a cushion on my lap and cuddled into me then slept the majority of the way. He’d occasionally sit up to have a nosey out the window because he loves the car. He was brilliant.
My husband Colin’s friend owns a house in Great Yarmouth which he rents out for holidays. It’s great, as it’s just a 5-10-minute walk away from the beach. Mac absolutely loved digging holes in the sand. He adored the beach – didn’t care about the sea, he just wanted to dig holes and bury stones that he found.’ Says Gemma.
We have a Fab video of the first time Mac’s paws touched the sand. Head over to our Facebook page to view.
Mac also went on his first visit to the pub during their holiday.
‘We visited a few pubs and ate at dog friendly restaurants. This was all new to Mac, but he was good as gold. He obviously got a lot of fuss from everyone because he’s too cute (not that I’m biased at all!).’
‘Before we drove home on Sunday we went for one last big walk on the beach. When we got home in the afternoon he didn’t even play with a single toy, he just wanted to cuddle and nap. Monday morning, he was back to his normal cheeky hyper self.’ Says Gemma.
A very successful trip. We can’t wait to find out how they get on during their beach trip next year with the addition of baby Ford.
