Gundog Qualifiers

We now have our qualifiers for the Buddies Yearling of the Year from the Gundog group. Qualifiers were held at the National Gundog show in Malvern on Sunday 5th August.

Judge Carole Coode selected handsome Hungarian Vizsla, Show Champion Magnus Fortuna Pitswarren (JW), pet name Magnus.

‘Magnus is such a clown in the ring and he is a real joy to show.’ Says owner Peter.

Carole then went on to select stunning Pointer, Meadogold Tartini with Soham, pet name Tartini. Tartini gained her JW at just under 12 months of age, so has had a successful young show career to date. ‘I adore my girl. It was pure luck how I came to find her, as I’d mentioned I really wanted a black headed bitch to breeders Mick and Aidine Howes. It just so happened that they had two available.’ Says Alison.

There are now just two remaining finalist places left to be selected at BUBA later in the year. Our Vizsla and Pointer will join the other ten qualifiers from Toy, Terrier, Hound, Working and Pastoral groups. They will be competing for the chance to become Buddies Yearling of the Year and win a grand prize of £500 plus a commission by acclaimed artist Jo van Kampen.
