New mother abandoned before giving birth

Latest from the Buddies pet insurance news team… the RSPCA has released details of a distressing incident involving a Staffordshire bull terrier that was abandoned and tied to a tree while giving birth. A member of the public came across the birthing bitch after she had already delivered one puppy and quickly took her and the newborn to the RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre. Before local officers had time to carry the mother inside, she gave birth to a second puppy in the car and then delivered five more once settled in the centre. The RSPCA returned to the site of the first birth to put up abandonment notices, but there has been no response to these so far.
