Hi i have lived with min pins since 1984 and thoroughly love this cheeky breed. I was only 10 years old when we got Wiggy and Nou (two black and tan bitches)We went everywhere together, they both slept in my bed and were comforted in the evenings under my jumper to keep warm. My fondest memories of my girls was racing them along the sand dunes in north wales and them jumping up at my most beautiful mongrel bitch tinkerbell. I now own 5 min pins, i show and breed them. once you have a min pin you become addicted to the breed. They are not for everybody but if you want a small dog who is sturdy and fun, into everything and completely self obsessed, an excellent guard dog than a min pin is for you. They are a healthy breed as a whole although in some cases patella's can be a problem. please visit the miniature pincher club of great britains website and go and visit at a championship dog show to meet the owners and breeders and get to see some of the dogs that will be in your pedigrees if you decide to own one (or two) of these fantastic little dogs.

I have owned and bred miniature pinschers since 1980 and have found them very bright dogs. People who own them should train them either obedience or tricks but something to let them use their active brains. If not their brains may do some pretty obnoxious behaviors for fun.Great partners in a family but better with older children or none. It is not a worry with your children but the problem comes with children coming over who leave doors open or fences open leading to accidents. These quick dogs can quickly have accidents if let loose. Cars can be very fatal if they are hit by them.
