I'm a breeder of long and smooth coat chihuahua's I have found that chihuahua will get along with other dogs even bigger dogs if they have been brought up together but some are not happy when meeting bigger dogs. also Chihuahua are house dogs they do not like the cold and love to be around people and other chihuahua's. they require little grooming and exercise however they do love running around the garden. I have found they are a very clever dog and can be trained to roll over, sit stay and all the other things you would train other digs to do. I would not let a chihuahua go with somone who had small children, I do find small children too heavy handed for this small dog. Hope this helps you please feel free to contact me for more information if required Kind Regards Angela Aylett

Hi my name is Vonda I grew up with Chihuahuas in my home and have had them in my life for the last forty plus years. I am in south easten Ohio. I try to raise the best Chihuahuas that I can, most of my pups have champion back-grounds. My pup are not sent home with you till eight to twelve week depending on size and if they are eating well. I raise smooth and long coats.

I am a small breeder of smooth and long coat Chihuahuas. You can see my babies at www.jrdoggies.com. We strive to get our little ones into homes that will love and cherish them as we do.

At Badgercrest we raise both Long and Smooth coat Chihuahuas. They have very sweet endearing personalities. We socialize our puppies immediately as my dames allow me to handle their puppies immediately. Our puppies are raised in our home with abundant love and attention. These dogs get along with Chinese crested dos (which I also breed) very well. Http://badgercrest.com email:badgercrest@gorge.net phone:509-365-3492

I have been owned by this little breed for almost 30 years and have been a breeder of both Long and Smooth coats for many of those years and I have never had the so called "ankle biter" or "biter" either, and they sure do get along with other breeds, I also raise Yorkshire Terriers and everyone gets along well in my home. But they are addictive.... They are like potato chips... you can't have just one. http://www.geocities.com/suzih1/index.html

I find chihuahuas to be one of the more intelligent breeds. They are not stuborn as some of the other intelligent breeds but seem to live to please their owners. They ae wonderful companions and little tatteltales when people come near the house. Haveing a house full of them makes my home often a noisy but happy place.

O wn 5 female chihuahuas and do breed from 2 of them, I find it quite offencive that people who nothing about the breed tar them with this ankle biting and yappy behaour, its just not true, its the same with all dogs you need to trian your dog to have the right behavour, my chis get on with alsorts of breeds.

FIND THE STATEMENT ABOUT THEM NOT GETTING ALONG WELL WITH OTHER DOGS TO BE WRONG. WE HAVE BEEN OWNING AND BREEDING AND SHOWING CHIHUAHUAS FOR OVER 25 YEARS....AND WE ALSO RAISE POMS...THEY GET ALONG WELL WITH ANY DOG I HAVE PUT THEM WITH AND THE ONLY TIME THERE IS A MOMENT...IS WHEN THERE IS A LADY IN SEASON. WE PUT OUR BOYS OUT TO PLAY TOGETHER WITH OUT ANY PROBLEMS...THEY HAVE ALWAYS DONE WONDERFUL!

AM BOTH A CHIHUAHUA SMOOTH COAT BREEDER AND OWNER! MOST PEOPLE THINK THAT CHIHUAHUA ARE ALL ANKLE BITERS...THIS IS NOT TRUE AND IN 25 PLUS YEARS OF BREEDING THEM WE HAVE NEVER PRODUCED ONE THAT WAS A BITER...IT HAS TO DO WITH QUALITY AND TEMPERAMENT AND SOCIALIZATION FROM BIRTH TILL THEY GO TO A "FOREVER" HOME NO SOONER THAN 9 WEEKS!!
